Haaland Failed the Bar Exam & Tried Not Paying Off Student Loan Debt

IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 1, 2026

Albuquerque, NM — In response to the latest round of attacks on Gregg Hull from the Democratic Party of New Mexico, RPNM releases the following statement:

“Every bit of criticism hurled at Gregg Hull from the Democratic Party of New Mexico is comical, considering Deb Haaland failed the bar exam three separate times and refused to pay her own student loan debt, despite earning a total of nearly $1 million in personal income at the expense of taxpayers,” said 2nd Vice Chair Rachel Martinez. “While every other hard-working New Mexican was obligated to pay off their student loan debt, Deb Haaland chose not to pay hers. Despite earning nearly $250,000 in annual income from her government job, she tried to do what all socialists do, which is take a free pass and force hard-working taxpayers to foot her bill.

Not only do New Mexico voters deserve a governor who doesn’t have a track record of ripping off taxpayers with self-serving socialism, they also deserve a governor who didn’t fail the bar exam three times. Sheer incompetence at the hands of New Mexico Democrats has been the primary force behind why our state is failing in almost every way, and Deb Haaland is perhaps the most unqualified candidate Democrats have ever put forth for governor.”
